๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Part 1: Civic District Heritage Trail - Route 3: Seeking Fortunes, Forging New Lives (1.5 hours)

Discover the stories of Singaporeโ€™s early communities and their journey to build new lives. Step into the Civic District and uncover the rich tapestry of cultures, faiths, and aspirations that shaped Singaporeโ€™s early immigrant communities. This guided walking tour traces the footsteps of those who arrived in search of opportunity and built lasting legacies through trade, education, religion, and civic engagement. Connect with the meaningful stories of those who forged new lives in a new land.

 

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Part 2: Armenian Church - Armenian Heritage Gallery Tour (1 hour)

Visit the Armenian Heritage Gallery, located in the newly renovated Parsonage building (built 1905) within the Armenian Church compound. Opened in May 2018 with support from the National Heritage Board, it is the first Armenian museum of its kind in Asia featuring rare artefacts, books, photos, and other historical and contemporary items collected from various community archives in Singapore, Asia, Armenia, and all over the world. A collaboration between the Singapore Armenian Community and Armenian communities worldwide, the Gallery also periodically displays traveling exhibits of significance to the Armenian community. Join us for a guided tour led by a volunteer from the Armenian Church and discover the fascinating stories of the Armenian Community in Singapore and beyond.
